The series In the Dark is a collection of portraits of dried flowers and weeds, captured in natural light against a black background. Each subject is suspended between stillness and transformation — a quiet witness to the passage of time. My intention is to reveal their transition into another life, where what once withered becomes newly alive in form and spirit.
In this darkness, the flowers are reborn as luminous, sculptural beings — traces of fragility transformed into symbols of endurance. Their faded textures and altered shapes speak to the persistence of beauty beyond vitality. They carry the memory of endurance, rooted in the space between decay and rebirth.
This body of work reflects on renewal and the cyclical nature of existence. It is a meditation on how decay nourishes creation, how silence gives way to becoming. The journey from darkness to light mirrors our own transformations — a reminder that every ending holds within it the seed of a new beginning.
